On our brand new Norwegian Welted construction, our black calf leather Ollerton shoe is a Norwegian derby or Navvy Cut derby. The origins of this style are disputed - either it was designed for fishermen in Norway or for navigational engineers ('navvies') in England during the 1800s. Either way, both were looking for a more water resistant shoe. The higher apron seam, and 'skin-stitch' toe seam (the thread doesn't go completely through the leather) help achieve this. Finished with a rubber commando sole for added durability. PLEASE ORDER A HALF SIZE DOWN FOR THE CORRECT FIT
